University Canada West (UCW) is proud to announce that another one of its distinguished faculty members, Associate Professor Dr. Jafar Heydari, has been recognized among the top 2% of scientists worldwide in the field of Operations Research.

This prestigious recognition spans five consecutive years from 2020 through 2024 underscoring the sustained excellence of Dr. Heydari's research contributions.

The ranking, compiled by Stanford University and Elsevier and published on TopResearchersList.com, places Heydari at rank 193 worldwide out of 29,481 scholars in his sub-field of Operations Research.
Dr. Heydari's recognition in the top 2% is not an isolated honour but rather a testament to his consistent excellence. Being on the list every year from 2020 to 2024 signals a robust and ongoing contribution to the operations research community.
He has authored numerous peer reviewed papers in leading journals such as European Journal of Operational Research, International Journal of Production Economics, Transportation Research Part E, Annals of Operations Research and INFORMS Service Science. His research explores a range of critical themes, including supply chain coordination, green supply chain management, reverse logistics, and game theory applications in supply chain management.
Dr. Heydari is not the only UCW professor to be recognized. Associate Professor Dr. Hamed Taherdoost is also listed.
