The 2025 Killam Awards brought the University of Calgary community together on Oct. 22 to celebrate the exceptional achievements of its scholars and researchers.
Spanning the university's many distinguished faculties and schools, 36 laureates were recognized this year, each shaping knowledge, mentoring students and pushing the boundaries of their fields.
The awards honour the vision of Izaak Walton and Dorothy Killam, whose trusts have supported advanced study and encouraged excellence in research and scholarship for the last 60 years. As one of only five designated Killam universities in Canada, UCalgary continues to uphold that vision through its scholars and researchers.
This year's recipients, from postdoctoral scholars to early-career leaders and established professors, carry forward the Killams' vision through their research, teaching and mentorship.
