Capilano University (CapU) warmly invites all lifelong learners to Capilano Universe, its annual speaker series featuring faculty experts sharing their wide-ranging knowledge with local communities. From January through April 2026, nine captivating lectures will be held at public libraries across the North Shore, Sunshine Coast and Sea-to-Sky region, with hybrid access for remote attendees.
Capilano Universe reflects CapU's mission to connect academic expertise with community dialogue. Since its inception in 2007 by Leonard George, faculty emeritus, the series has grown to an annual festival of ideas hosted at public libraries from North Vancouver to Sechelt -- and, in recent years, expanded to include Whistler and Squamish.
Attendance is free, inclusive and open to everyone. Most events are hybrid -- delivered both in-person and online -- though some are virtual only.
Visit the Capilano Universe webpage for full event details and online registration.
