Wilfrid Laurier University will welcome athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers and spectators to its Waterloo campus from July 30 to Aug. 2 as part of the Waterloo Region 2026 Ontario Summer Games.
More than 4,200 youth athletes aged 12 to 18 from across Ontario will compete in 23 sports at venues throughout Waterloo Region. Laurier will host wushu, field lacrosse and flag football events, and student residences will serve as the Athletes' Village.
"Laurier looks forward to celebrating the next generation of Ontario's athletes and welcoming guests to our campus spaces in the spirit of community connection and youth development," says Laurier President and Vice-Chancellor Deborah MacLatchy.
Laurier employees, students, alumni and community members are invited to attend and cheer on competitors. Admission to all events is free. The full Waterloo Region 2026 Ontario Summer Games schedule will be available online in the coming weeks.
