The 2026 RSEQ university football season will kick off this Friday, September 4, at 7 p.m., as the defending champion Université de Montréal Carabins visit the Université de Sherbrooke Vert & Or at Stade de l'Université.
As part of the 12th year of this partnership, TVA Sports will broadcast 11 games, including the Jacques Dussault Cup final, giving fans the opportunity to follow all six RSEQ teams: the Bishop's University Gaiters, Concordia University Stingers, Université Laval Rouge et Or, McGill University Redbirds, Université de Montréal Carabins and Université de Sherbrooke Vert & Or.
Each televised game will be preceded by a pregame show. TVA Sports will also launch its coverage of the season with a special program airing this Thursday, September 3, at 6 p.m. The show will highlight the season's key storylines, as well as the student-athletes and teams to watch in 2026.

The six teams will compete for a place in the Jacques Dussault Cup, the RSEQ university football championship game, which will be broadcast exclusively on TVA Sports on Saturday, November 14.
Denis Casavant will return to handle play-by-play duties alongside analyst Charles-Antoine Sinotte, while Justine St-Martin and Arnaud Gascon-Nadon will also return as hosts. They will be joined by several contributors and guests throughout the season, including Marc-Antoine Dequoy, who joins the TVA Sports team as a new contributor.
