INRS (Institut national de la recherche scientifique) proudly unveiled its new website today, thereby reaffirming its position as a scientific leader in Quebec and abroad. The university's site is more distinctive, interactive, mobile, and accessible than before, and provides a unified view of INRS's programs of study, research facilities, and scientific advances.
Founded in 1969, INRS has always sought to drive Quebec's economic, social, and cultural development through its activities while transferring knowledge and technology to the sectors in which it is active, including health, the environment, water, energy, biotechnology and nanotechnology, telecommunications, urbanization, and culture. "To pursue its mission, INRS absolutely needed a new website that was more global in outlook, accessible on all mobile platforms, and representative of a dynamic community of researchers working at the national and international level," said Chief Executive Officer Luc-Alain Giraldeau.
The new website reflects INRS's vision and strategic priorities. It also serves as a powerful tool for student recruitment and the development of lasting partnerships. "The website presents our master's, PhD, and postdoctoral programs, as well as our leading expertise in fields crucial to Quebec's growth, said INRS Scientific Director Pascale Champagne. We're very proud of our new website. It furthers INRS's standing in every regard."
The new site boasts a number of functionalities that improve the user experience. The Find my supervisor questionnaire, for example, helps future students pick a master's or PhD project and find a research supervisor. The pages devoted to INRS laboratories, research facilities, faculty members, and services to the community also have been enriched with users in mind.

Digital innovation firm Libéo, based in Quebec City, was responsible for the design, from ergonomics to user experience, while Kryzalid was selected to produce the site. The agencies' high-level knowledge and skills were essential for the success of a major project such as a complete website redesign.
