Redeemer University Marketing Degree Joins The Portfolio of Institutions Accredited By CIMMO

The Chartered Institute of Marketing Management of Ontario (CIMMO) is pleased to announce that Redeemer University has received accreditation for the Bachelor of Arts in Business Marketing. Founded in 1988, CIMMO is the only chartered marketing association in Ontario that serves as a global accrediting body for marketing programs and is a marketing education network connecting students, educators, and marketers worldwide.

In preparation for students to complete the CEM and CPM designations, CIMMO's accreditations to universities and colleges allow for a consistent set of standards of academic learning in a marketing degree program.

CIMMO's Chief Accreditation Officer, Emily Gazsynski responded to the partnership, "CIMMO accreditation signals that Redeemer's Marketing graduates who have completed the Marketing Degree Program are grounded in solid foundational skills and are prepared to assume critical responsibilities, serving the business ecosystem while promoting integrity to their practice of the marketing profession."

Institutions can become accredited through a number of steps such as first becoming a CIMMO member and upholding the institutional membership in good standing. The institution must also modify their curriculum to adhere to the accreditation quality standards of CIMMO to ensure continuous improvement, high level marketing skills, and a high standard of marketing ethics. These changes are met while also keeping the university or college's core values in consideration.

Along with Humber College, Redeemer University Bachelor of Arts - Marketing Degree Program is among the business schools who have received this high-level accreditation from CIMMO.

Professor Laurie Busuttil, the Business Department head, said, "I wish to thank those at CIMMO Accreditation for this recognition. The Business Department at Redeemer has worked hard to achieve this distinction and will continue to enforce the code of ethics and promote and employ the standards established by CIMMO."
