At October 28's County Council meeting, Warden Linton announced the recipient of the 2021 Luella Logan Scholarship.
The Luella Logan Scholarship will grant $1,500 annually to a young woman pursuing post-secondary studies in political science, public administration, or a related undergraduate or graduate degree at a Canadian college or university. Selection of the scholarship recipient will be based on academic excellence and demonstration of leadership and interest in local government.
Wellington County Council is pleased to present, on behalf of the Logan Family, the second annual Luella Logan Scholarship Award to:
Deanna Wiley, Guelph/Eramosa Township
"On behalf of County Council I would like to congratulate Ms. Wiley on receiving the 2021 Luella Logan Scholarship," said Warden Kelly Linton. "Ms. Wiley already has an impressive political résumé and we all look forward to her future political contributions."
Ms. Wiley is currently studying towards a History Major with a Minor in Politics at Brescia University College at Western University.
