The City of Regina is now accepting applications for the Henry Baker Scholarship Program. A total of 17 scholarships worth $2,000 each are available.
Created in 1997 to pay tribute to Henry Baker, who was both a teacher and Regina's longest-serving mayor, scholarships are awarded to students that excel in their studies and who make a difference in their community. The scholarships provide financial assistance to support students' academic and career goals.
To be eligible, applicants must be a registered student in a full-time academic program in Regina by the June 1 application deadline. Visit Regina.ca/henrybaker for eligibility criteria, a list of accepted academic institutions and application forms. All applicants will receive a response by September 1, 2022.
Since 2009, a total of $330,000 has been awarded to 191 students.
