The award celebrates outstanding journalists, writers, photographers and other media professionals, recognizing individuals or media outlets that have made a special contribution to public education.
The Town and Country Newspaper was nominated by Pembina Hills Trustee Maureen Schnirer for their consistent coverage of our schools. From showcasing our vibrant Terry Fox Runs and Remembrance Day ceremonies to capturing the excitement of Christmas concerts, drama productions, and sports events, they have helped us share countless stories of student achievement and school activities. They have also brought attention to vital initiatives like school bus safety campaigns, fundraising efforts, and our regular school board meetings.
This award is recognition of the Town and Country Newspaper's commitment to public education through insightful and consistent journalism and we are grateful for their partnership in sharing the positive impact of our schools with the wider community.
