A message from the Provost and Vice-President (Academic) Sandra Davidson
I am pleased to announce that Verity Turpin has been reappointed as vice-provost (student and campus experience) through to June 30, 2032.

Since her initial appointment in July 2022, Verity has demonstrated strong leadership and a deep commitment to enhancing the student experience across our campus. She has advanced a number of important initiatives, including the development of the Student Experience Think Tank Series, where students share their voices on important subjects such as affordability, well-being, food access, advising, belonging and more. The series has created valuable space for dialogue, insight-sharing and innovation in how we support our students.
During this time, Verity has also taken on an expanded portfolio that now includes the Office of Institutional Commitments, further strengthening strategic alignment and reflecting a whole campus-experience approach to the work of her team.
I would like to thank the members of the advisory review committee for their participation in this process: Francine Smith (TUCFA representative), Laura Spitz (decanal representative), Shane Royal (MaPS representative, ancillary), Laura Wan (support staff representative), Naomie Bakana (SU representative), Sarah Kromm (GSA representative), Stefania Forlini (GFC representative), and Ahmad Ghasemloonia (GFC representative).
Please join me in congratulating Verity on her reappointment and thanking her for her continued leadership and contributions to our community.
Dr. Sandra Davidson, PhD, MSN, RN, FAAN, FCAN
Provost and Vice-President (Academic)
