Six NAIT students earned medals at the 2022 Skills Canada National Competition in Vancouver, May 26 and 27.
Competitors were assessed for their accuracy, precision, and quality of performance for their respective trades. The assessment benchmark is set to the acceptable industry standard for each trade.
Team Canada Gold:
- Dorien Lozeau, Car Painting
- Tanner Harbin, Refrigeration and AC
- Andrik Jacobsen, Cabinet Making
Post-Secondary Gold:
- Peter Estephan, IT Network Systems Administration
Team Canada Silver:
- Maxwell Fisher, Auto Body Repair
- Warren Ference, CNC Milling
Dorien Lozeau, Tanner Harbin and Andrik Jacobsen earned a spot on Team Canada for their respective trades after winning gold at the Team Canada national competition. They will represent NAIT and Canada at international competitions in fall of 2022. Details about the 2022 WorldSkills Competition are expected to be released in early August.
Seven NAIT students participated in the national competition after taking home top honors at the provincial event in early May.
