On November 27, the Science Fair Foundation BC announced the winners of the Youth Innovation Showcase 2024. A Young Innovator of the Year was selected in both age groups (12-15 and 16-19) and each awarded a prize of $5,000.
"The scale and creativity of submissions for the Youth Innovation Showcase this year was exceptional. The talent and inventiveness these kids continue to illustrate points towards a promising future," said Sarah Prade, Executive Director of The Science Fair Foundation BC. "Our work at the Science Fair Foundation BC endeavours to eliminate barriers to creative possibilities and allow students to let their imaginations run wild."
The Youth Innovation Showcase empowers young minds to unleash their creativity in tackling everyday challenges with innovative solutions. It serves as a platform for emerging innovators to turn theoretical concepts into tangible impacts. By connecting with industry and academic leaders, participants pitch their groundbreaking ideas, gain valuable feedback from experts, and discover the exciting possibilities a career in STEM has to offer.
