Capilano University faculty and alumni win big at 2025 Leo Awards

Faculty and alumni of Capilano University's School of Motion Picture Arts garnered more than two dozen nominations and several trophies at the Leo Awards earlier this month.

A project of the Motion Picture Arts & Sciences Foundation of B.C., the Leos celebrate and promote the achievements of B.C. film, television and web-based media industry.

The award ceremonies were held July 12-13 at the Hyatt Regency Vancouver.

"The School of Motion Picture Arts and the School of Animation & Visual Effects congratulate our students, alumni and faculty for the recognition for their work as nominees and winners at the Leo Awards," said Michael Thoma, chair of the Motion Picture Arts program. "We are honoured to see our schools strongly represented across so many categories and such a range of projects."
