NEW BRUNSWICK
High school graduates can now apply for 2024 NB Proud Awards

April 9, 2024

Opportunities NB is inviting 2024 high school graduates enrolled in New Brunswick post-secondary institutions to apply for one of its five NB Proud Awards.

The awards, worth $2,000 each, will be presented to five graduates from across the province's five economic regions to support their post-secondary goals.

"New Brunswick is home to world-class post-secondary institutions that offer endless opportunities and provide the skills needed to build the workforce of the future," said Post-Secondary Education, Training and Labour Minister Greg Turner, who is also minister responsible for Opportunities NB. "We are happy to once again offer the NB Proud Awards to today's graduating class to support their post-secondary educational goals and to recognize them for demonstrating pride in New Brunswick and a passion to remain here and contribute to our growth."

Applicants are asked to submit an essay of no more than 500 words on their potential future careers and how they plan to contribute to the province's success and economic growth. They will also be asked to take and submit a photo of themselves related to their essay response.

Applications should be submitted by 11:59 p.m. on Monday, May 6. The application form and more information about the NB Proud Awards are available online.

Any questions about the awards can be directed to award@onbcanada.ca.
