AURORA COLLEGE
New tuition fees in fall 2024 for post-secondary programs

March 20, 2024

In response to rising costs, Aurora College will be increasing tuition fees for all post-secondary programs beginning in the fall term of the 2024-2025 academic year. Aurora College has not increased tuition fees since 2018-2019.

The new tuition fees will remain within the amount provided to students by Northwest Territories Student Financial Assistance (SFA). In June 2023, enhancements were made to SFA for NWT residents to reflect higher education costs. The enhancements include increased levels of funding for tuition fees, books and living costs.

The tuition fee per term for most post-secondary programs will be $2,520 and the cost per single course for most courses will be $510 (up to two courses per term). There are exceptions for programs that are more costly to deliver as well as for some nursing and healthcare practicum courses if they are taken outside of a regular course load or individually.

International student tuition fees will continue to be three times the cost of domestic student tuition.

Aurora College's Student Services team works with students to access additional resources, such as scholarships and bursaries. Historically approximately 75 percent of Aurora College students are funded by SFA and most others received funding from other educational funders such as Indigenous governments and agencies or other Canadian student assistance programs.
