After an extensive search, the University of Niagara Falls Canada has announced the appointment of Branka Halilovic as its first Vice-President, Operations, marking a significant step in the institution's ongoing commitment to strategic growth and organizational excellence. The appointment is effective May 6, 2025.
In this newly established role, Halilovic will oversee facility management, IT services, enrolment management, and other essential ancillary services. She will align these critical operational areas with the university's strategic goals, driving innovation and efficiency while promoting an enhanced experience for students, staff, and faculty.
Halilovic brings a wealth of experience in university administration, where she has led large strategic projects, managed multi-million-dollar budgets, and fostered innovation. Her expertise spans operations, finance, administration, technology, human resources, strategic planning, project and change management, customer service, service delivery, space management and logistics, and health and safety.
Halilovic comes to UNF from York University, where she served as Director of Administration within the University Information Technology team. Prior to her time at York, Halilovic held the position of Executive Director of Operations for the School of Continuing Education at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU).
