Forbes and Statista have released their annual ranking of top employers and George Brown Polytechnic has once again made the list!
Forbes Canada's Best Employers 2026 recognizes organizations that demonstrate they value their employees and are committed to fostering a workplace that nurtures talent, supports inclusion, and encourages learning opportunities.
This year, we ranked 27th on a list of 300 Canadian employers. The Forbes Canada's Best Employers ranking is determined through an independent survey of more than 37,000 Canada-based employees working for organizations with at least 500 employees. Participants were asked if they would recommend their employer to others and to rate it based on a range of criteria, including work flexibility, training opportunities, and leadership programs. Forbes combined those anonymous responses with survey data from the past three years.
Susan Bowrah, Vice-President of People and Culture, says this year's ranking reflects an unwavering commitment among employees to fostering an environment where students and employees feel supported and empowered to thrive.

George Brown also made the Greater Toronto's Top Employers 2026 ranking, marking the tenth consecutive year we've been included in this list of outstanding places to work in the GTA. We were recognized for our defined benefit pension plan for employees, a 12-month sabbatical leave available to long-standing employees, and our culture of employee recognition, among others.
