June 4, 2026

Marketing professionals looking to excel in an increasingly digital and data-driven marketplace have a new opportunity to build in-demand skills through Brock University.

Brock's Professional and Continuing Studies (Brock PCS) team has launched a new micro-credential to help learners integrate artificial intelligence (AI) into contemporary marketing strategy and practice.

"The pace of change in marketing has accelerated dramatically with the emergence of AI," said Barb Mercer, Associate Director of Programming for Professional and Continuing Studies. "This program is designed to help professionals confidently navigate that change, using AI tools thoughtfully and strategically to enhance their work while maintaining creativity and human insight."

The AI-Driven Marketing micro-credential provides a practical, hands-on introduction to how AI is transforming the field. Learners in the program will examine the evolving role of AI across a broad range of marketing functions, including social media, market research, search marketing, design and content creation.

A key focus of the micro-credential is developing strategies that leverage human creativity and critical thinking. Participants will learn to apply best practices that protect brand integrity and build trust with audiences while navigating issues such as bias, transparency accountability.

The new offering aligns with Brock PCS's commitment to providing flexible, industry-relevant learning opportunities that respond to evolving workforce needs. Micro-credentials, which are shorter and more targeted than traditional programs, are designed to help professionals quickly gain practical skills that can support career advancement or transition into new roles.

"Professionals want learning that is immediately applicable and can keep pace with rapid technological change," Mercer said. "Micro-credentials like AI-Driven Marketing allow learners to build targeted expertise that can have an immediate impact in their organizations."

The launch of this program builds on Brock PCS's growing suite of AI-focused programming, including Micro-credentials in AI Essentials, AI-Powered Web Development Foundations and AI-Powered Single Page Front End-Development. This programming reflects a broader effort to make artificial intelligence more accessible and actionable for professionals across sectors.
