JOHN ABBOTT COLLEGE
John Abbott Advances Paramedic Training

February 5, 2025

John Abbott College is proud to announce a significant step forward in the evolution of its Paramedic program. Always striving to provide students with cutting-edge tools and training, the Paramedic department has now integrated iPads equipped with specialized software from Préhos, a platform widely used by emergency medical professionals in the field.

This forward-thinking initiative ensures that students gain hands-on experience with the same tools and technology they will use in their careers. By working with this software during their training, Paramedic students will be better prepared to transition seamlessly into professional roles, equipped with the skills and confidence needed for real-world emergency scenarios.

To mark this milestone, John Abbott College was thrilled to welcome Rémi Richard, CEO of Préhos, to campus for a commemorative photo alongside Matthew Messina Morin, faculty member and Co-Chair of the Paramedic department, and alongside a group of enthusiastic students. This event celebrated the successful implementation of Préhos technology into the curriculum and reinforced our commitment to providing top-tier paramedic education.

This initiative was made possible through the SPU (Soins préhospitaliers d'urgence) grant that funded the purchase of iPads and Préhos software for our students. Please join us in congratulating the Paramedic department on this achievement and commend their dedication to innovation and excellence in training future paramedics.
