Local community organizations, registered charities, not-for-profits, and schools are encouraged to apply for funding under the Community Benefit Fund, a partnership between Lethbridge County and the Stirling Wind Project.
The Fund supports capital projects, community events, and arts/education programs that align with one or more of the following areas:
- Education and science
- Environmental enhancement
- Social welfare
- Arts and culture
- Emergency relief
- Health and wellness
Projects could include:
- Capital projects or equipment for the enhancement of community facilities
- Community events
- Art or education programs
Completed applications must be submitted by March 1, 2026. Packages are available on our website at https://lethcounty.ca/p/funding or at our Lethbridge office (#100, 905 4 Avenue S).
The Community Benefit Fund was established in 2024 as part of Potentia Renewables Inc.'s commitment to communities where their wind turbines are located. Their Stirling Wind Project has 14 turbines in Lethbridge County.
