SECOND YEAR CITY IS AWARDED GRANT
RBC Foundation Grant Awarded to Learn to Skate Program for Nanaimo Schools

The City of Nanaimo is pleased to have been awarded with a grant from the RBC Foundation and it's Learn to Play Program. The grant will assist in the development of the Learn to Skate program.

Programmed lessons run in both the Beban Park and Nanaimo Ice Centre facilities from October to the end of March 2016.

Strategic Link: Supporting affordable and accessible lessons supports the Social Equity Sustainability Pillar and directing this initiative to our stakeholder partners in education and child care supports the strategic priority of Community Building Partnerships.

  • A grant was awarded by the RBC Foundation's Learn to Play program which will directly benefit the City's Learn to Skate program. This is the second year the City has been awarded this grant.
  • The Learn to Skate program is offered to schools and preschools in Nanaimo and runs from October to the end of March.
