The Government of Nunavut's Department of Education is pleased to announce the Early Learning and Child Care (ELCC) Quality Framework Action Plan.
The Action Plan outlines the steps Education will take between now and 2033 to implement Nunavut's ELCC Quality Framework, which was released last year. Both of these key documents support high-quality early learning and child care, with a focus on inclusivity, cultural safety, and community collaboration.
"The ELCC Framework Action Plan outlines this government's commitment to ongoing support and improvements for Nunavut's learners under the age of six," said Minister of Education Pamela Hakongak Gross. "Thanks to our partnership with the Government of Canada, we have been able to deliver historic and transformative change, aligned with the Katujjiluta mandate to reinvest in education."
"Nunavut is delivering on their commitment to make $10 a day child care a reality for families across the Territory," said federal Minister of Families, Children and Social Development Jenna Sudds. "This action plan provides a clear path forward on Nunavut's quality framework vision and will help ensure that children in Nunavut have the best possible start in life."
Join us in celebrating and acknowledging the positive impact that early learning and child care have on our children and communities.
