NEW CENTURY! NEW IDENTITY!
The Canadian Teachers' Federation unveils new colours

April 22, 2020

As its 100th anniversary dawns, the Canadian Teachers' Federation (CTF/FCE) is unveiling new colours. This new identity is more modern, lively and dynamic, and it showcases the values of our organization: collaboration, inclusion, equity, and innovation.

A new logo

Central to this new graphic identity is a new logo that combines two renowned icons for teachers (the apple and the flame of knowledge) along with the national symbol for Canada (the maple leaf) to emphasize that the CTF/FCE represents Canadian teachers.

Besides giving the logo a Canadian flavour, the multicoloured shapes blending into the form of a maple leaf allude to a federation, with all the elements working together to achieve a common goal, and evoke diversity in all its forms.

A revised and modernized platform

The new visual identity also appears on our new bilingual website, which has been totally reimagined to be more user-friendly. We focused on optimized browsing for quick access to information. We also adapted the contents for easier reading and developed the site for different devices including computers, tablets, and cell phones. You'll also be able to find all our events on our brand-new calendar and enjoy the various display options provided.

Besides showcasing all of our programs, the new website will allow teachers from across Canada and around the world to discover the full range of our resources and publications.

Perspectives now in blog format

The CTF/FCE's online magazine will now be presented in the form of a blog on our new website, with about two articles published every month. To stay informed about our new publications, subscribe to our newsletter or follow us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.

Despite the challenges of the past few weeks, the unveiling of our new image marks the launch of celebrations for our 100th anniversary. We're also taking the opportunity to recognize the importance of our members and the contribution of our partners and employees over the past 100 years!

Looking forward to your impressions. Don't hesitate to share them with us at nquintao@ctf-fce.ca.
