Cégep Heritage College opened its doors on November 15 to welcome the 19 members of Gatineau City Council for a tour of its newly expanded building and a taste of its student's famous cooking expertise.
The event was organized in order to familiarize city counselors with the important role played by Cégep Heritage College in the Outaouais region and to familiarize them with the ongoing Fundraising Campaign of the Cégep's Foundation.

City Council members were greeted to the College by Director General Michael Randall and Foundation Manager Nicole Lévesque. During a guided tour, the visitors were able to visit the Cégep's brand new wing, the new sport facilities, the new nursing lab, the expanded library, the student lounge and several of the renovations made to the building.
After the tour, visitors were treated to a gastronomic meal prepared and served by students of the College's Hotel and Restaurant Management program.
The College Director General Michael Randall stressed the college's contribution to the program offerings in the Outaouais and the efforts made to meet the needs of the student population with the development of new programs such as Special Care Counselling to be offered in September 2017.
Gatineau's mayor Maxime Pedneau-Jobin voiced the importance for the City to maintain good relations with education institutions and to remain close partners.
