Introduction to AI Literacy is a new Athabasca University micro-course designed to get graduate students and other learners up to speed about artificial intelligence through timely, accessible, on-demand professional development skills training.
The new micro-course launched Oct. 15 through the Faculty of Graduate Studies' professional development program. It's being offered as a pilot initially with plans to launch the course to the wider public in 2025.
"The job market today is very competitive, and having an understanding of AI, regardless of the fields that you're working in, is key," explained Corinne Bosse, an AU learning designer who helped spearhead the course.
