Keyano College has provided quality education since 1966 and represents an important option for northern Alberta students to receive the world-class education they need, closer to home.

To ensure students can access the skills and training they need to build successful careers while learning in a comfortable, safe and modern environment, Alberta's government is investing $6.9 million to replace HVAC equipment on campus.

"Investing in local communities encourages students to stay close to home while they develop the skills, knowledge and competencies they need for the most in-demand jobs. It also benefits the local economy, as students graduate and use their talents to continue building strong and prosperous communities."

Rajan Sawhney, Minister of Advanced Education

Alberta's government, in collaboration with industry and education partners, is working to address labour shortages across the province. With more training opportunities being created throughout the system and more people moving to Alberta, bringing their talents and ambitions with them, investing in capital maintenance and renewal is key.

"The Government of Alberta's investment in Keyano College has had and will continue to have a profound impact on our institution and the students we serve. We deeply appreciate the support, as it has enabled us to expand educational opportunities, enhance facilities, and ultimately, transform lives in the Wood Buffalo Region."

Jay Notay, president and CEO, Keyano College
