Keyano College is excited to welcome Tiffany Fontaine as the new head coach of the women's soccer team. Born in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Tiffany moved to Fort McMurray in 1988 and discovered her passion for soccer in 1991 with the Fort McMurray Youth Soccer Association (FMYSA). Her exceptional talent quickly shone through, leading her to join Team Alberta within her first year of playing.
From 1991 to 1999, Tiffany represented Team Alberta, showcasing her skills and dedication. In grade 11, she was selected for the U19 Canadian National Program and went on to play for the University of Colorado Boulder for four years. Her impressive playing career includes participation in the Western Canada Games, Canada Games, Arctic Winter Games, and Alberta Summer Games.
Tiffany's transition to coaching was a natural progression, beginning immediately upon her return to Fort McMurray. She has since coached the Keyano Huskies Men's team, several grassroots divisions, the Arctic Winter Games Junior Girls Team, and most recently, the U9 and U17/19 Girls Fury Teams. Her coaching prowess has led to three Provincial championships with the Fury Program and a Silver Ulu in Futsal at the Arctic Winter Games.
As the Technical Director with FMYSA for three years, Tiffany significantly contributed to the program's growth, increasing the number of teams, female participation, and coach recruitment. She holds a National B license and recently completed her Learning Facilitator Education.
Tiffany Fontaine's deep love for soccer and commitment to fostering talent in young athletes make her an invaluable addition to the Keyano Huskies family. Her passion for the 'Beautiful Game' is evident, and she is dedicated to continuing her learning journey and supporting others who share her enthusiasm.
