BCIT and Kiewit unveiled the Kiewit Tool Room at NE4 (Carpentry) in recognition of Kiewit's generous gift of $250,000 to the INSPIRE Campaign.

BCIT Foundation was excited to welcome more than 30 guests including representatives from Kiewit, BCIT leadership, staff, and students to the Kiewit Unveiling Celebration.
We were grateful to begin the event with a land acknowledgement by Broadcast and Online Journalism student Kobie Smith, a Haisla Nation member, Indigenous student champion, and Student Association Indigenous Council Member at BCIT.
The event celebrated Kiewit's donation in support of the future Trades and Technology Complex which will increase access, capacity and capability to produce the skilled workforce that is needed to support BC's current and future growth. Kiewit's investment helps ensure students have access to a transformational applied learning experience and an environment designed to serve their future careers, the future of industry and the future of our province.
As a long-time partner of BCIT spanning over 20 years, Kiewit philanthropic partnership includes supporting BCIT's Distinguished Awards gala, student career fairs, and student achievement awards. Kiewit also supports initiatives such as the Entry Skills for Architectural, Construction and Engineering (ACE) fields microcredential program allowing high school students and recent graduates to explore introductory design and technical skills in these fields.
Kiewit's commitment to excellence has made a lasting impact across the institution and will further help to foster the next generation of leaders to come.
