PARKLAND COLLEGE
Parkland College Launches Win Your Tuition Promotion

May 3, 2023

For students who have been thinking about applying to a post-secondary education program at Parkland College, there has never been a better time to apply than now. The College is hosting their biggest promotional campaign ever - a chance for one lucky student to have their tuition paid for! Students who are accepted into one of Parkland's full-time programs before the end of May can enter for a chance to have up to $7000 of their tuition paid for.

Vice President, External Relations, International, & Research, Kami DePape, explained "This promotion is a way for us to thank our surrounding communities for supporting us over the years. It's no secret that the cost of living is on the rise, and for many individuals, this could mean becoming a full-time student is just not feasible. This promotion might help train one more nurse, teacher, mechanic or paramedic, meaning our region has at least one more trained professional who will hopefully stay and pursue a career here."

The contest application process is simple; once a student applies to one of Parkland's full-time programs, they will need to complete an online form which includes a short explanation on why they chose Parkland College and what their educational and career goals are. All eligible entries will be entered into a draw with a winner being selected at random in August. Students who have already applied or been accepted to a program are also eligible for the promotion.

DePape explained that the College is working hard to make education more accessible to all students. In addition to the Win Your Tuition Campaign, the College is also offering guaranteed tuition rebates to selects graduates who are wanting to pursue additional training at the College. This includes Parkland College graduates from the Business Certificate program who go on to complete the Business Management Diploma program, Primary Care Paramedic graduates looking to enroll in the Professional Firefighting program and Power Engineering Technician (4th class) graduates who enroll into the 3rd class program. On top of these incentives and rebates is the College's robust scholarship campaign. "Even $1000 can make a huge difference when you are student, whether it's for tuition, textbooks or even groceries."

As the College approaches their official merge with Cumberland College this July, one thing that will remain the same is the College's commitment to making education accessible to more students.
