HOLLAND COLLEGE
Student for a Day initiative gives prospective students access to college programs

January 19, 2024

Holland College's new Student for a Day initiative, taking place on February 1, will give prospective students the opportunity to experience what it's like to be a Holland College student. Participants will have the opportunity to meet current students and their instructors and participate in classes in their chosen area of interest.

Holland College President Dr. Alexander (Sandy) MacDonald said the Student for a Day initiative is intended to give prospective students first-hand experience in college classrooms and labs.

"We want people to see for themselves what being a Holland College student is like. We want them to meet the instructors, talk to our students, and ask questions so that they can make informed decisions about their post-secondary options," he said.

In addition to having the chance to win prizes and get some HC swag, the college will waive the program application fee for participants.

This event is open to Grade 11 and 12 students and the general public. For more information, to register, or to find out about personal tours at Holland College, go to the Events section on the front page of hollandcollege.com
