Carlton Trail College Announces Retirement of President and CEO, Shelley Romanyszyn-Cross

The Board of Directors of Carlton Trail College has announced the retirement of President and CEO Shelley Romanyszyn-Cross, after 20 years of service. Romanyszyn-Cross, a resident of Watrous, was promoted to President and CEO in 2016.

Board of Directors Chair, Adrienne Jackson, says Romanyszyn-Cross will be missed. "Shelley has, over the course of her career, established herself as a knowledgeable and well-regarded professional within the post-secondary sector in Saskatchewan. As a Board, we were pleased with the success and advances she achieved in recent years, including navigating the College through the pandemic, and wish her all the best."

Romanyszyn-Cross is proud of her career with Carlton Trail College, and of the staff with whom she has worked. "We have a very professional organization, with dedicated leadership, administrative staff and instructors, all committed to delivering safe, inclusive and meaningful education and training for students," said Romanyszyn-Cross. "I will certainly miss my colleagues and celebrating student achievements, but I feel my work with them - and the many relationships I have established - have prepared me to pursue further professional goals in the broader educational community in Saskatchewan."

Amy Yeager, Carlton Trail College's VP of Administration, has been appointed Interim President and CEO.

"On behalf of our Board of Directors," said Jackson, "we are delighted to appoint Amy Yeager as President and CEO, succeeding Shelley Romanyszyn-Cross. Amy is a proven advisor who has helped deliver strong operational results through her commitment to our staff and students and we look forward to working with her."

Says Yeager, "I am honoured to step in as the College's next CEO and want to thank both Shelley and the Board for the confidence they have placed in me to lead this organization. I welcome working with Ms. Jackson as Board Chair, as well as the larger College team, as we continue to advance the goals of the organization." Yeager resides in Muenster with her family.
