Carlton Trail College Implements COVID-19 Emergency Regulations

Effective Friday, December 3, 2021, Carlton Trail College is implementing the Government of Saskatchewan's The Employers COVID-19 Emergency Regulations. This means anyone accessing Carlton Trail College's learning locations will be required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test taken within seven days. 

"To continue to provide the safest possible environment for our staff, students and the communities in which we live and operate, College leadership agreed it is the right decision to implement these emergency regulations," said Amy Yeager, Carlton Trail College President and CEO.  

For proof of vaccination, Carlton Trail College will recognize: 

• the card issued by the Saskatchewan Health Authority at the time of vaccination; 
• a copy of a vaccination record obtained online through MySaskHealthRecord; 
• records entered into the digital SK Vax Wallet; or 
• a letter of verification from a doctor or pharmacist in Saskatchewan. 

For proof of a negative test result, a self-administered take-home rapid antigen test will not be accepted as valid proof of negative COVID-19 test results. Individuals requiring a negative test result have several private options on the market that will provide a rapid antigen test or a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test for a fee. The cost for all proof of negative test results is the responsibility of the individual.

In preparation for College-wide implementation, current Board members, staff and students were required to fill out a form declaring their vaccination status.  

Registration remains open for the College's many programs, courses and training opportunities. Further information about how to adhere to proof of vaccination or negative testing measures will be communicated to individuals upon registration.  

Individuals registering in the online-only Ed2Go,UGotClass or other, online-only courses that do not require access to College facilities or resources are exempt and do not need to provide proof of vaccination or negative test results.
