This December, Carlton Trail College is helping individuals who may rely on a food bank, especially those within its learning region in east-central Saskatchewan.
The Humboldt & District Food Bank, Lanigan & District Food Bank, Wadena Food Bank, Watrous Food Bank and Wynyard Food Bank each received funds to assist with the purchase of fresh food and other necessities. An internal food drive is also being supported by Carlton Trail College's Board and staff members.
"Our regional food banks are valued community partners that help support our students, and their families, during times of need," said Sandy Flory, Carlton Trail College Board Chair.
"These contributions are a small way our institution can spread goodwill and support to those who rely on food banks and their services within our region."
