The University of Fredericton is proud to announce the appointment of Dr. Sheri McKillop to the Vice President of Academics and Trevor Pothier to Vice President of Advancement. Through these roles, both Dr. McKillop and Mr. Pothier will serve in steering the University's strategic vision forward, along with the other members of the Executive Leadership Team.
Dr. McKillop earned her Doctorate of Business Administration from Northcentral University and is herself a graduate of UFred's Sandermoen School of Business Executive MBA program. She is passionate about delivering quality education to working professionals and brings more than 30 years of accumulated business and post-secondary experience to the role of VP of Academics.
McKillop has lectured at national and international levels, authored a question and answer newspaper column for over 10 years, and appeared on many public television educational shows throughout the U.S. In Canada, she has been a regular on CBC Radio Noon and is actively involved with Skills Canada at the provincial, national and world levels.
Mr. Pothier has more than 20 years of experience in marketing, product management, operations and business leadership. He has demonstrated dedication, attention to detail and strategic leadership, resulting in the University's decision to elevate him to a new role.
Mr. Pothier works to be inclusive while providing innovative solutions to large and often complex problems. His experience includes working with and for Fortune 500 companies. Pothier holds a Diploma in Business Marketing from Loyalist College and has earned a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
Both Dr. McKillop and Mr. Pothier bring unique and diverse skill sets from robust corporate and post-secondary experiences that make them natural selections to fill the positions within the Executive of the University. Their service in these roles are effective immediately.
