A total of 11,052 students were enrolled in certificate, diploma, advanced diploma and graduate certificate programs at Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC) campuses across the province as of October 1 the annual date for the College's official milestone enrolment count. This figure includes additional program offerings such as Continuing Care, Early Childhood Education and Carpentry Fast Track.
"We offer programs that directly respond to current and future needs of in-demand professions, including healthcare and the skilled trades sector. We are pleased to welcome students to our diverse range of programs and focus on helping our province transform its economy and enhance its quality of life," says Andrew Lafford, NSCC Acting Vice President, Academic.
Over the course of the full academic year, it is anticipated that NSCC will welcome over 20,000 students through the College's full suite of 2024-25 offerings. This encompasses apprenticeship, continuing education, customized training and continuous intake.
The College's 2024-25 program plan allowed for the delivery of over 135+ program offerings which match the needs and demands of the province's rapidly changing economy.
NSCC conducts a follow-up survey with our graduates each year and those results show that 92% are employed, most in their field of study, with 93% of those employed living and working in Nova Scotia. These students are living the mission of the College: through education and innovation, they're growing the province's economy and quality of life.
Offers of admission for 2025-26 academic year will begin in early November. Applicants are encouraged to apply early to increase the likelihood of securing their program of choice.
