On behalf of the Senior Leadership Team, I am pleased to welcome Aaron Skillen, to Confederation College as our new Vice President Academic.
As a highly motivated leader with over 25 years of experience in academic and healthcare sectors, we are excited to have Aaron on our senior team. His success in collaborating with partner organizations at local, regional, and provincial levels, along with his expertise in strategic planning and operational management will make him a valuable asset to our academic operations and programs.
Aaron's impressive work experience includes 7 years of leadership at the University of Alberta, highlighted by two major multi-sport facility capital projects, and 17 years of senior healthcare leadership experience. He has a Bachelor of Education, Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology, Master of Business Administration, and completed the Advanced Health Leadership Program at the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto.
In addition to his professional achievements, Aaron volunteers as a Little League Baseball and Minor Hockey Coach. His interests include golf, curling, and supporting the Edmonton Oilers. We also welcome his family, including his wife Rhonda, daughter Sam, and son Shea, to the Confederation College community.
Aaron's first day will be July 5, 2023. Please join me in welcoming Aaron. We look forward to working with him and watching him lead our academic operations to new heights.
