February 13, 2024

Georgian's new Vice President of People and Culture will play a significant role in cultivating an unrivaled employee experience and helping to guide the college through continued transformations in the postsecondary sector and the way we work.

Alim Remtulla joins the college on March 4 and will be accountable for driving a positive and engaging work environment with a human, heart-centred and changemaking approach. Among his responsibilities, Remtulla will develop and lead a people and culture strategy that inspires; advances Georgian's commitments to equity, diversity, inclusion and belonging; and enhances the college's current and future efforts to attract, recruit, onboard and retain exceptional talent.

"I'm excited to welcome Alim who has a passion for the college sector given the important role we play in preparing students for the labour market," said Kevin Weaver, Georgian's President and CEO. "Alim has a broad range of professional experiences that will be a huge asset to Georgian, including leading change initiatives in complex organizations. His unique strengths and skills will complement and enhance the strong expertise on our team. In addition, his governance experience, including time as an Ontario college board member, will be invaluable."
