Mohawk College is proud to host the 2025 OCAA Curling Championship from February 5-9 at Dundas Valley Golf and Curling Club.
This marks the first time since 2019 that Mohawk has hosted the prestigious curling championships, which will feature eight institutions and a total of 22 teams across three categories.
Mohawk will host the tournament in honour of long-time assistant coach Simon Ouellet, who passed away at the age of 64 in May 2024. Coach Ouellet was known for his infectious personality and unwavering passion for curling, leaving a lasting impact on the student-athletes he mentored. The Mohawk Athletics Department looks forward to honouring and celebrating Simon's life throughout the week of the championships.
The Mountaineers will compete in all three divisions: men's, women's and mixed doubles. Mohawk's men's team will aim to defend their title after securing the OCAA Championship for three consecutive years. Meanwhile, the mixed doubles team has earned a podium finish each of the last two years, with back-to-back provincial bronze medals.
Tournament action will begin on February 5 at 9 am, with the opening ceremonies being held later in the day at 1 pm. Medal games will take place on February 9, with the men's and women's finals scheduled for 2:30 pm and the mixed doubles final at 5 pm.
