On March 23rd, 2024, over 1500 prospective students and their parents gathered at our Main Windsor Campus in pursuit of their future endeavours in their post-secondary expedition. The calibre of offerings gaged cohorts throughout the expanses of Canada and America, with a few appearances from our Great Lakes neighbours in Michigan. The three-hour event showcased a condensation of deliverance of the rich legacy of St. Clair College.
Our nine schools took centre stage with erected banners, exhibitions, and busy booths. Faculty presented their respective program designs through practical demonstrations and career counsel, supplying the prospects with a fulfilling excerpt of the comprehensive programs at St. Clair College.
The attendees were fully immersed in the experience of the practical applications at each booth, delving deeper into the intricacies of each program. This facet of our Open House offered insight into the lucrative academic curriculum and vocational competence provided by St. Clair College.
Information sessions for our attendees abetted in their holistic experiences as it incorporated the administrative aspects of the college journey. Admission processes, program details, scholarships, support services and other essential subjects were explored to facilitate the efficacious comprehension of St. Clair College.
Our Campus Tours were the exquisite finishing touch to the Open House experience. Spearheaded by the college's Saints Brigades, these tours encompassed our student residences, recreational areas, sporting facilities, administrative areas and laboratories. Our guests were afforded a preliminary experience of our resources and exemplary facilities.
Highlights from Open House include the appearance of one of our resident Temi artificial intelligence robots, courtesy of the School of Community Studies. Additionally, the heartfelt words from the attendees revealed that the efforts of St. Clair College were recognized. One parent explained her experience at Open House upon her immediate arrival.
"St Clair College's Open House makes me feel like I am on the red carpet!" She exclaimed.
St Clair College strives to serve the post-secondary community beyond the Canadian borders. The satisfaction of students are parents alike is of paramount importance to the college and Open House was reminiscent of that.
John Fairley, Vice President of College Communications and Community Relations shared his insights on Open House.
"It was encouraging to see so many prospective students and their families from Windsor Essex and other parts of Ontario taking advantage of our open house. It is the best way to make our brochures and web pages come alive with face-to-face communications. Always appreciative of the time our facility, staff, students and community partners coming together to be an integral part of our recruiting efforts." Fairley said.
Our 2024 Open House was an undeniable success that provided the utmost satisfaction to our esteemed attendees. The objectives of St. Clair College were met and the satisfied demeanors, nods and smiles that departed from our Windsor campus were an indication of that. The event underscored the college's devotion to the innovation and development of the post-secondary academic community.
