Students, parents, employees, alumni and friends of Pinetree Way Elementary celebrated the past 25 amazing years at their official 25th anniversary event on Thursday, November 22, 2018.
Principal Sean Della Vedova MC'ed the event where speeches were made by SD43's Board Chair Barb Hobson and Superintendent Patricia Gartland, City of Coquitlam Mayor Richard Stewart, Pinetree Way PAC Chair Maja Trbaric, and SD43 Principal Darren Fridge whose father Ted Fridge was Principal of Pinetree Way when it first opened 25 years ago.
The student choir sang songs, and a time capsule was opened with the contents shown and explained to the large crowd by students for all to see. Many fond memories were shared, and fun times were had by all as guests enjoyed cake and refreshments.
