On Friday, September 14, 2018, Black Gold Regional Division No. 18 (BGRD) hosted its annual Welcome Back & Long Service Awards Ceremony. More than 750 Division staff gathered at Leduc Composite High School to officially kick off the school year and celebrate staff's contributions and service achievements.
The ceremony was emceed by Liam Bolton and Madeleine Dufour, two École Leduc Junior High School students. In recognizing the impact of all BGRD staff members, the pair shared a quote from Lon Watters: "school is a building which has four walls with tomorrow inside." The students thanked staff for making schools better places for the "tomorrow" that's inside.
