Foothills School Division Announces Appointment of New Vice-Principal at Cameron Crossing

Please join us in congratulating Mr. Rob Gallacher, who has been appointed Vice-Principal at Cameron Crossing effective August 26, 2023.  

Please join us in congratulating Mr. Robert Gallacher, who is currently serving as Vice-Principal of École Senator Riley School, as he transitions to Vice-Principal of Cameron Crossing where he will have key responsibilities within the expanded program plan to support Jr. High School students and programming.  

Mr. Gallacher brings exemplary leadership experience and practice with diverse and exceptional student needs to this position. This includes supporting students across grades 1-12 as a teacher and learning coach with Foothills Digital School, Education Plus High River campus, Oilfields High School, and École Okotoks Junior High School. As well, Mr. Gallacher is the current Foothills School Division Summer School Principal.  

Mr. Gallacher's established relationships across all schools in our system and capacity to provide a continuum of support for students will provide excellent leadership and support for students within the expanding Cameron Crossing program.  

Mr. Gallacher holds a Bachelor of Arts from St. Thomas University, a Bachelor of Education from the University of Calgary, and is currently completing his Master of Education with Athabasca University. Mr. Gallacher has also obtained his LQS certification from the University of Alberta to round out his educational experience. 

As Rob prepares for his next leadership assignment he shares, "I am very excited to be joining the Cameron Crossing team for next school year in the role of Vice Principal. I will miss working with the tremendous team at Senator Riley but really look forward to this next opportunity in my leadership journey."   

Superintendent, Chris Fuzessy offers, "We are happy to announce that Mr. Gallacher will be joining the Cameron Crossing Team as Vice Principal to begin the next school year. His experience in effectively supporting students is vast and will undoubtedly bring great added value to the continued great work of the school team.
