Grande Yellowhead Public School Division is pleased to announce that Jodi Campbell will be taking on a new role as principal at Jasper Elementary School (JES) beginning the 2016-17 school year.
"Jodi has been a valuable and active educator within the community of Jasper for a number of years," said Cory Gray, Superintendent of Schools. "I am looking forward to supporting her goals and objectives in building a school culture of engaging and unique learning initiatives."
She has been with Grande Yellowhead since September 1, 1996 and has been teaching at Jasper Elementary in a variety of roles from the classroom as a kindergarten/ grade one teacher, Literacy Teacher Advisor, Leveled Literacy Intervention Teacher, Classroom Support Teacher, and for the current year as their Assistant Principal. She completed her Master of Elementary Education in 2004 at the University of Alberta and is an active member of the division's Leadership Academy.
Jodi notes "I am excited to align my academic and professional interests within my expanded administrative role at JES. I firmly believe in the importance of creating a safe and caring learning environment where all children feel connected, inspired and engaged where they can be successful."
Jasper Elementary is a dual track kindergarten to grade 6 school located in Jasper AB and has a current population of 217 students.
