High Prairie School Division is thrilled to extend a warm welcome to Kim McConnell, who will be joining our team as the Early Learning and Assessment Coordinator. Kim's impressive background and expertise in the field make her a valuable addition to our division.
Kim's experience extends beyond inclusive learning. She has a comprehensive understanding of legislative requirements and has effectively coordinated Programming for Unique Needs (PUF) programs, ensuring that students and staff receive the necessary support within inclusive settings. She has also worked closely with multidisciplinary teams, including occupational therapists, speech and language pathologists, and other specialists, to ensure that students have access to appropriate programming and support.
Furthermore, Kim possesses a strong assessment background and has provided coaching and guidance to school staff in literacy and numeracy assessments, both for learning and of learning. Her expertise extends to inclusive education and curriculum change, reflecting her commitment to facilitating educational growth and improvement.
With the majority of Kim's experience focused on northern communities, she understands the unique needs and challenges faced by students and staff in our rural context. Her advocacy and dedication to addressing these needs align perfectly with High Prairie School Division's mission to provide exceptional education for all students.
