High Prairie School Division is pleased to announce the appointment of Sandra Cairns as the new Manager of Human Resources.
Mrs. Cairns has been with High Prairie School Division for the past 14 years. Sandra started working with the Division in 2007 as a secretary with our central office. In 2010, Mrs. Cairns accepted the position of Payroll Accountant, and after several years, she was appointed to the role of Payroll Supervisor. Sandra's work with the Division's payroll included overseeing all aspects of the payroll department, preparing reports, working collaboratively with Human Resources personnel, preparing regular monthly payroll for all certified staff, and maintaining accurate and complete personnel records.
The Manager of Human Resources provides overall management of the Division's Human Resources Department, including answering all staff inquiries about HR matters and all administration inquiries about employee issues. They serve as the first point of contact for Human Resources within the Division and develop, communicate, monitor, and evaluate the Division's human resources processes and ensures compliance with all legislation pertaining to human resources. Mrs. Cairns will also be overseeing the payroll department in her role as Manager of Human Resources.
