A dedicated group of SD72 mountain bikers competed in the BC High School Mountain Bike Championships on May 27 in Rossland, BC. The team was comprised of riders from École Phoenix, Carihi and Timberline, ranging from grades 8 to 11.
With over 400 riders at the event, the SD72 team showed true trail etiquette while they focused on the tough terrain and their dedication paid off with some podium finishes.
Congratulations to Gavin Chatterton from Carihi on his silver in cross country, bronze in the enduro and overall King of the Hill for grade 10s. And congratulations to Cameron Meldrum from École Phoenix Middle School on his bronze in cross country for the grade 8 division.
