A Lethbridge School Division administrator is set to be honoured by the Council for School Leadership (CSL).
Aimee DeWacht, the current vice-principal at West Coulee Station Elementary School, has been selected as a recipient of this year's Distinguished Leadership Award presented by CSL.

The award program recognizes outstanding school leaders, including principals, vice-principals, assistant principals and school jurisdiction leaders, who excel in providing high-quality learning opportunities for students and staff.
This prestigious award aims to highlight exceptional Alberta school leaders, celebrate creative, innovative and effective leadership and draw public attention to excellence in school leadership.
Award recipients are acknowledged by their peers for their exemplary contributions to the profession. The program specifically honours school leaders who demonstrate excellence in the competencies outlined in the Alberta Leadership Quality Standard.
DeWacht will be honoured at an Awards Gala on Friday, May 29 at the DoubleTree by Hilton West Edmonton.
Commencing the 2026/2027 school year, DeWacht has been named principal at Gilbert Paterson Middle School.
