Lethbridge Collegiate Institute continues to dominate the esports world.
On the weekend in Calgary at the Alberta Esports Championship 2026, LCI's Clayton Barfuss took first place, out of 200 participants, in Super Smash Bros. Wyatt Barfuss came in fifth.
In Rocket League, where there were 15 teams, LCI Gold took top spot and LCI Green came in fourth. Rocket League LCI Gold players featured Agrim Paudel, Alex Vervecken and Kade Fraser, with coaches Will Kellett and Cam Findlay.
The Valorant competition featured eight teams and once again, LCI Gold was at the head of the class in first. LCI Green finished in fifth spot. The gold-medal team included Matthew Fedoruk, Rocco D'Agnone, Gavin de Jong, Gabe Gorner and Nicholas Varty, with coach Mike Harrison.
