Congratulations to the Salmon Arm Secondary School (SAS) boys' curling team who claimed silver at the B.C. High School Curling Championships which took place at the Kelowna Curling Club from February 28 to March 2, 2024. The team is comprised of Nolan Beck as the skip, Kaiden Beck playing third, Brayan Morton in second and Gavin Tulak as the lead. The team is coached by Andrew Cowell.
The team won six of seven games in the round robin play, losing only to St. George High School in Vancouver. The two met in a tiebreaker final and St. George claimed the gold with SAS winning silver!
The team would like to thank Coach Cowell, Salmon Arm Secondary, and the parents for their support during the event. The team also extends their thanks to the Kelowna Curling Club, the ice technicians, all the volunteers, and BC School Sports for organizing this excellent event.
Nolan and Kaiden's curling season is far from over, In March, they will represent BC in both the U18 Canadian Championships and the U21 Canadian Championships. Fans and supporters may stay updated and show their support by following their progress on their Facebook page. Best of luck!
